I had ordered some goods online. But due to the condition of tax office, the supplying agency did not accept the VAT with the invoice and told me to submit the same in the tax office. Though I didn't get the suppliers problem then,it soon became evident to me when I went to the tax office to submit VAT amount. I was asked for the bribe if I wanted to get the job done & didn't want it to get "stuck". In all my surprise, I even tried to explain him the fact that " I'm paying taxes, for God's sake!!". But ofcourse, they didn't give a **********and I had to pay the bribe for them to accept the VAT. I was helpless as the bribe system is a flawless process out there and everything goes through it. The heights of irony is not just that I paid a bribe for paying taxes, but the fact that the tax office is adjoining to the court !!
