I had to pay Rs 15000 to register my new apartment. Builder told it is part of the realty sector and it is a common practice across Bangalore .Acting against such practice may create some serious problem as officials from revenue dept can play any nasty games to make inconvenience to apartment owners. Later I happened to know that hundreds of my fellow flat owners also paid the same amount as bribe.I think, the nexus of builders and revenue dept officials are looting the hard earned money of common men. One thing I don’t understand is , why the property owners are forced to pay such bribes even after paying hefty amount as stamp duty and registration fee.
In Koramagala sub register office itself , daily on an average 100 apartment registration can happen, ie 15000 X 100 = 1500000 Rs bribe is flowing it to a single sub reg: office in Bangalore and the bounty is distributed to each and every members of the official hierarchy based on the designation
After every Lok ayukta raids we always see the statistics of black money or unaccounted money of Babus but no one is bothered to look into the source of such wealth.My humble request to Lok ayuta top official is to hit the root rather that just raiding the residence of babus one by one. Every time when they get caught, they are finding new ways to hide the black money they looted from us as bribe.
