It was a give or giveup situation for me when i had applied for a passport in Bangalore. I was doing follow up with local area police station to know abt address verification arrival from passport office to it but it happened after 4 months of time. When police had come to my house for verication he asked to buy some electronic gadgets to their department quoting his higher officers name...he was asking for at least a pen drive. Finally i refused for it and he took Rs 500 from me and went. I was still suspicious on him that though after i gave Rs 500 whether he send verication report to the passport office or not. But i received a intimation saying police verification is done.
