I was summoned to the Civil court to collect my license which was sent there for not having proper number plate. The judge fined me Rs.50/- which I agreed to pay promptly as it was much less than the bribe asked for by the traffic police havaldar.I was asked to deposit the same with the clerk who asked me to deposit Rs 70/- instead boldly mentioning Rs 10/- for the judge sahab and Rs 10/- for me. What else to do but I paid as I wanted my license back.
