Myself Sunil. Some time ago I lost my mark sheet of my MCA degree.I wanted a new marksheet from university and they demanded a FIR to be attached for duplicate ms ******* with application form... Ok. I went near by police station to register my FIR( Vasundra police station ghaziabad up).I explained my pledge to appropriate police clerk (I have no idea that there are clerks in police dept also) he told me that they can't help me out in such situation then I said I need FIR copy to get my DMS copy.He told me ok write your complaint on a plain paper and sign over it then go to near by court and buy a stamp paper and write same on that also and get it attested from them. I was put off from chair listing this. I had no option other than to request him again then he see around and silently says "2 Gandhi waale lagenge". else get me all docs. I paid him INR 2oo and got my FIR copy and sent to university. Question is not of 200 money but they charge as per situation and client ( common man). If I had knowledge of this process it could have been registered as free of cost. But corrupt system and lack of knowledge of your rights boosts such incidents .
