In order to get DL, you are supposed to submit address proof etc. I was at the counter to submit my papers (address proof, identity proof). Since, I didnt have Voter ID card at that time, I decided to open a Nationalised Bank account. I got my account open, and 2 days later I went to get my DL with my passbook as a proof of address. However, even though, I had passbook as my address proof is valid from the very day it is issued. The fee/paper collector refused to accept it address proof saying that account is not 6 months old, I told him that it is not mentioned anywhere that address proof has to be at least months old, upon a lot of request, he asked to ********** after 1hr in the public toilet nearby. He then bluntly asked for money to accept my papers, since, I had no choice, I paid it.
