Bribe for getting electritcity connection
I wanted an electricity connection for a small scale industry way back in 1993 and I met the SDO. Since the load was 14KW, I was asked to pay Rs 14000. Since I was from army background, I was given concession and was asked to pay Rs 9000. Since I was losing time and had no option, I had to pay the bribe and get the connection. I came to know after 3 months that the SDO had met with an accident and died. Lesson of the story is the bribe money does not go with you, only your good and kind deeds can get you peaceful death.
