I wanted to have a duplicate ID card, having lost my previous one and applied for the same to the authorities. I was asked to pay Rs. 50 in cash for it. When I asked for a receipt, I was blatantly denied; instead the officer told me that he had to dig into records of last three months and I am not entitled to ask for a receipt.
