Any new construction or re-modeling of a house, the plan does not get approved without a bribe. the initial deal that was struck was for Rs.50,000/-. We had to from broker to broker to find out who takes the "least" amount (including fees, bribe) to get the plan approved... If we refuse to go with these brokers, we will have to take at least 1 month off from work and run from table to table filling out non-comprehendable forms and answering questions about FAR ratio, which are greek and latin to us... Corruption is everywhere in the world....but it is only in India that it hits common man to a vast extent
