Bribe for importing Liquor
I was flying back for my holidays from Dubai to Mumbai, on my way i purchased two bottles of Whisky from Dubai Duty Free, there was a scheme going on for that brand, to buy 2 bottle & get free, i checked with Duty free about the liquor allowed during travel, they told since its free bottle, i can carry one extra bottle. On landing at MUmbai airport the scanning machine detected 3 bottles in my luggage & raised the alarm to Customs people. Rather then listening to me, custom office demanded Rs. 1000 from me, i told him the matter told by Duty free people, but he said ok pay Rs. 500 & we will settle the issue.
He quickly signalled to one policeman standing little far to collect Rs500/- & let me go. Since i was in hurry i didnt want to further prolong my stay at airport, i paid off & they let me take 3 bottles of liquor.
