Hi,
I Had to pay a bribe of 5500 rs. when i applied for Katha transfer while purchasing an apartment to a BBMP officer in malleshpalya, bangalore. When I asked as to why he is demanding bribe and that too so much since the actual fee is only around 3K, his reply was that this amount will be shared by multiple people processing the application.
