I don't know how I got hold of this website, but must say that it is quite hilarious and at the same time sad to read all the posts.
I would like to share this incident with u'll. I am a NRI for the past 15 years. I dont know where my 2-wheeler licence is. I had to pay electricity bill of my in-laws and had come to this place a few builidings near the 118 Infantary Battalion gate near K.P.grouund. Many people had parked their vehicles on the main road outside the building gate and so did I. My 1-1/2 year old son came with me sitting on the petrol tank of my bike. I had no licence, no bike papers. I was standing in the que inside to pay the bill and someone came and told me that my bike along with several others has been dumped inside the van and being taken to Sitabuldi police station. I rushed out and was shocked to see that my bike is loaded right in front and about 10 other bikes behind it. I told those guys to offload my bike and they told me to talk to the officer sitting in the van. I approached him and told him that I'm a NRI. Showed him my overseas car driving licence and said I am sorry I was not aware of the rules. He asked me whose bike this is and I said it is my brother-in-laws. He did not even ask for my driving licence, nor did he ask for the bike papers, but instead asked shamelessly Rs.500/-. Without hesitation, pulled out the ********** note from my purse and asked him with several pepople whatching over my shoulders, whom should I give this? He said to me, and he pocketed that in front of all and asked the guys to offload my bike which they did so. They had to offload all the bikes behind mine and then reload them again after handing over my bike to me!
