I applied for Marriage certificate immediately after my marriage. I paid the govt fees of Rs 500 to get teh work done. The clerk asked me when you want to get the work done and i replied asap. He said give me 3000 and it will be done in the same day. I told him that i don't want to pya anything else except the govt fees. I did all the formalities needed and they said come after 3 days. And i went after 3 days to know the status and the person who is responsible for this said come tomorrow and this happens for 3 times. After that i want directle to the senior officer office whose signatures are required. He said i don't get any such application. Then he called the clerk and asked him and the clerk said he didn't paid the fees and i cut him immediately by showing the receipt and then he said our fees. I was shocked with this he was saying in front of top officer. Then the govt official said give me 1000 rs and i will sign right now. First i resisted then he said ok come tomorrow and i understood they are not going to give me the certificate unless i pay. so i paid him 1000 Rs then he signed and i get my marriage certificate. I am about to leave from there and his last statement was you have to pay money everywhere to get anything signed.
I was full of anger and frustration at that time but can't do anything about this corrupt system.
