My Mum owns property in Doddballapur, and she wanted to get the Encumbrance certificate for it. We approached the officer in the sub-registrar's office and he said it would take a week. We promised we would help him out and he gave the papers to us in an hour.

After an hour he had our papers ready and also a chit indicating what the "fees" he was wanted from us. It was pretty specific and organised. He asked for 525 we gave him 600.
