Bribe paid to TTE to get a confirmed berth
I along with my wife and 2 year old daughter had to travel from Ernakulam to Bangalore. I booked two "AC 2-tier" tickets on the Bangalore Express. During the time of booking both the tickets were in waiting list and when the chart was prepared both of them went to RAC status. On the train when the TTE was checking the tickets we asked him if there was a chance of getting another berth as well. He said he will check and after few minutes he called me separately and said he could get it done and I would need to treat him for the same. He asked me to pay Rs 200. The RAC seat we had was a lower berth and TTE said he would get me the other lower berth also opposite to our seat and ask the person who was originally supposed to be on that seat to move to another seat. Since since we had lot of luggage and our child along with us, I didnt think twice and decided to pay him the amount and got the other berth also.
