Bribe paid to a TTR
I am sorry but the date is not accurate coz i cant exactly remember and so is the city. I used to have a job in cochin (kerala)which required me to travel around india a lot. On one such trip me and my friend didn't have confirmed tickets on a train to vadodara. It was night time and the train had a few seats left. Each of us wanted a sleep and so we decided to talk to the TTR for getting a confirmed berth. The TTR was a fat lady in her late 40's (i think). She was sending away people saying that there were no seats available.
When we met her she said that she would get us berths on payment of 1000 rs. It was late night and i was very sleepy. So i was forced to pay the money and waited for her to show up in the train and write the berth number on our tickets.. when she finally came, she just gave a single berth for both me and my friend. I complained and said that we paid 1000 rs which is enough for 3 berths... but she demanded another 1000 for an additional berth.. Since we had no more money, my friend slept on the berth and i was forced to sleep on the floor after arranging some newspapers...
