My Police clearance letter was delayed for long and after pursuing the commissioner office, I was informed that the letter has been sent to local police station and I should approach them. Once I approached the Mico Layout police station, the officer there declined that he has received any letter and did not even check. Once I informed him that I was updated by Commissioner Office to approach you and the letter has been sent. He checked and confirmed and he asked for a few documents and then asked for bribe of 700 Rs. I asked if I dont give then, he informed the paper will be there lying on his desk forever and when I asked him this is too high and I cant afford so much, he told me - no bargaining. He took 700 Rs and issued the letter to commissioner office. Again the officer at commissioner office asked for Rs 350 to send the letter then and there.
