I filed income tax returns pertaining to the assessment year 2008-09. I was to get Rs 55000/- as refund. But till ********** i have not received any refund. upon approaching the officer, he was not willing to open the file for some or other reason. having understood his intensions,i somehow paid him an amount of Rs 1000/- intially to get the things going. even then things were there where it was earlier. i understood from other sources that he need atleast Rs 10000/- to do the needful. this is the state of affairs in our income tax departments.
