I had to get the VAT no register for my newly started firm. My sales tax advise said I will have to pay Rs. 5000 as bribe to Sales tax officers to get the VAT No. and the survey will be done with out any issue. the other side if I do not pay Bribe then during the survey I will have to pay whatever amount he will ask as Bribe. So I paid Rs. 5000 as Bribe.
1.5 year later I again had to pay bribe of Rs. 1000 when I closed my firm and I had to surrender VAT no.
Total bribe I paid was Rs. 6000
