I had gone to the registration office for registered a land that I had purchased. The document writer took us to the sub registrar office and during the process of registration, the clerk who takes our signatures and thumb impressions demanded a bribe of Rs. 100 for doing his duty of getting thumb impression. We had to give the amount requested in order to get the paperwork completed for registration. The sub registrar demanded Rs. 1000 for each document registered. The document writer demanded that amount from us and gave it to the sub registrar for the registration to be done.
