The Police official at the Thana refused to accept and stamp the duplicate form unless paid Rs 500/-.
He unashmedly mentioned that I will have to keep returning again and again as the papers would not be accepted on some pretext or the other. Since the cost to return would have been much more, I preferred to pay up.
