Bribe for speeding in an unmanned area!!!

I was returning from my office and there is a stretch road which everyone intends to go at 80-100 KM/h.., That day the police did not stop me, but they took my car registration number apparently and called my home late at night and asked me to come and report to the station. They could have stopped me by just flashing a light or something as no one was there.
I was ready to pay the fine, but they said the Asst. Commissioner will come in the morning, come and see him. I came the next morning, as he was an honest officer he said i never called you, but any way.., just pay the fine and drive safe.
The Sub-Inspector said the fine is Rs. 600 and since I saved you from the Asst. Commissioner - he said you have to give me a phone.
I said I don't have a phone right now, but anyway I live in UK, i will get a phone and send it to you. He said ok , but then he asked for a separate bribe of Rs. 600 or else I will book a case on you. So i had to give the 600 plus a fine of 600 and come back.
