Was visiting the Mysore Palace with my family. We took some pictures outside the palace and finally decided to go into the palace. We didnt know that camera's were not allowed inside the palace, probably we didnt notice the signs. At the security check, the police men just asked us if we had any camera in the bag. We answered in the affirmative. They said we shouldnt take any camera inside. I said ok, i will go and deposit it at the entrance and started walking out. The main entrance was quite a distance from the entrance into the palace. A policeman quickly stopped me and said and just give us something and you can take the camera inside. You dont have to walk all the way back to the main entrance to deposit your camera. Me being lazy didnt want to leave my family there and walk back to deposit the camera. So just asked them what is the "something" that they expected. They said 20 rupees since there were two cops. I was surprised; all this ruckus for 20 rupees? I paid them and went inside the palace.but i was in no mood to enjoy the art and beauty of the palace.
