Hi i was a student at that time and had to get my passport issued but as evry one knows that to get passport in jammu is not so easy also it involves a lot of verification first by police and then by CID. the persons from CID didn't came for eary verification instead i went to them to get me and my brother verified. A CID personell asked me that my brother also should had to come to them to get verified whereas it is their duty to verify people. I belong to a poorer family and the personell asked me to give us Rs.200 for CHAI 'PAANI' in order to settle the matter, i didn't had change with just Rs.500 note with me. I asked him that i didn't had the change but insted he took all the 500Rs. which i had with me... So is the level of corruption in J&K.
