The verification of a passport need to be done on basis of the documents that are submitted. And the police have to verify with the neighborhood, whether the person in context is a well behaved and not a miscreant etc. But actual verification done on ground is, whether you are ready to bribe the police who comes for verification. And the one who came to verify my details is demanding amount. He gives the silly reason that he has spent INR 50/- to come to my place and he needs a satisfactory amount, which I said I cant pay.. And I had to bribe him with atleast 100 otherwise he simply gave a signal that my verification will fail and I will not get my passport verified.
