I had to get the passport done quickly as my GRE exams were closer . I wont name the police Station but its in bangalore .
Constable who will register the names in the register especially for passport applicants had a very thick book with atleast 5 names in each page with photo . The book was infact 300 page book with my name somewhere in the middle and the book was especially meant for only 2008 year . I looked the otherside of shelf where they had maitained the book for each year sometimes 2 books in a single year . I was demanded Rs.100 but i resisted but finally demanded only Rs.50 which i had to give bcoz my exams were getting closer . They scare saying your passport will not reach in time if you dont pay . Finally , i was bribed .
Think , each page 5 names and the book is 300page ,thinking that they effectively use only 200 page .10 names on either side and 200*10 = 2000 names in a single book . Thinking that each will pay 100 its comes upto 2000 * 100 = 200000 and they said now a days it will go upto 2 books . so it will be 200000 * 2 = 400000 . This is happening for years in that police station .
Remember I am just talking about ONE police station . How Many stations are there in Bangalore ?????
