Hi,
I was in teens when I applied for a DL for a 2 wheelers geared vehicle in Mysore RTO. I had obtained LLR by clearing written exam. I was determined to get a DL without paying bribe and attended DL test for the first time. After the bike riding test, Inspector asked me which side should I be parking the vehicle and I answered 'to the Left' side of your driving line or if to the side where it has been explicitly mentioned by the trafic police. Inspector said I was wrong and failed me. NExt time I went, I was put in the same question. This time I answered 'to the Right' or to any side mentioned explicitly. Again I was marked failed. Then I understood I had to come through a broker to get my DLL and finally I shelled out Rs.500 and got my DL next time. At that time it was my 3 months Pocket money and I had felt very bad that I failed to fight the corruption. *******
