Baborao(SSP office Surajpur). I am asked to pray bribe despite permanent address and absolutely clean record. I am told that its their fee and they won't work without this. When I told(which is true) same was done completely online and not a single penny was paid for same in mumbai by my colleague, then he told me:"Yeh UP hai. Ismein aur mumbai mein zameen aasman ka farak hai. Yohan koi kaam aise hi nahi hota." Despite my repeated asking about his full name and designation, he didn't tell and instead said "Mujhe sab baburao naam se jante hain" . In the past he has been taking bribe of Rs1000 for passport police verification every time but I never thought of raising voice earlier so didn't bother to ask his name. It represents pitiable condition of the state of UP. I always thought my city is part of NCR. But I regret that I live in such a place where any good system takes long time to develop and mature.
