I was a second year student in one of the local colleges and belonged to one of the nearby cities in Jaipur. I wasn't aware of the local socio-political environment of Agra, since I used to spend most of my time in and around college with my classmates. I was financially well off than rest of the students. Another student in my college, with the aid of a local boy, extorted money from me. They used to pick me up from my room (nearby college) under the threat of beating and sometimes 'murder', and take me to an ATM and ask me to take out and give them money (in all they had extorted ~ Rs. 12,000 from me). One day, I was able to collect solid evidence against the extortionists. With help from my classmate, I complained to the local police officer. The constable who attended to us demanded a bribe after having examined the conclusive evidence I presented to him. I paid the bribe, and the constable retrieved the money from the extortionists and gave it to us.
