I paid bribe for my Pass port back ground check and recently when a cop caught me.
I have all the required docs for applying Passport & I stayed in the same address for more than 5 years with my parents.
I applied for passport & police who came for back ground check demanded 500 to furnish the truth.
I feel ashamed of myself to not able to raise my voice tough i have all the required docs with me, with the fear of retaliation from the authorities in issuing my Passport. This is not my fate as many brothers & sisters of country are suffering from the same fear of retaliation and suffering in the clutches of corrupt Officers.More over our so called polite police dept across the country have made it a culture of collecting the fees of their choice in furnishing the details of applicant for back ground verification. Hope soon some one will bring a change in the system ...
