Hi,
I was flying to SanFrancisco from Hyderabad via Dubai. My first flight was from Hyderabad to Dubai. We came around 3 hours in advance to airport.
Not too many people in emirates economy counter. I was coming with my wife (newly married), probably this discover this through our behavior.
Luggage weights, no surprises all our checked luggage were in under limit. They also wanted to test our Cabin Baggage which as again in limit, Now they realized my wife had handbag and I have laptop bag, which was again requested for weight.
Now my laptop is old dell laptop (D620) its actually from my company, they weighted that and asked me it is too heavy. I did not what to do , they harrased us to limit.
I was frustrated, parents were waiting in waiting area, we have flight in less than hour, then comes their staff and asks for 2000 rupees to pass me. I was sure there is no way he can do anything for me to pass and why does he need money.
When I agree for 1500 he came to restroom to pick money and then accompanied us till Security Check.. I just realized it was stupid no one is going to check my luggage weight in transit and there is nothing this person can do technically.
It was just that they know to harass customers and pull money. I feel so bad now and want to slap that idiot.. if there was anyway some one can access old records from camera and then they can catch him. What is surprising is that this people are of private airlines and they behave like this.
