Stamp papers have been stopped in bangalore and a procedure called Franking is done . At the sub registrar office in Jayanagar, Bangalore, A fixed fee of Rs 10 per sheet of paper franked is collected in broad daylight. i.e for every rs50 franking rs 60 is demanded and rs110 for rs100 and so on. the money is recieved in front of everyone. to a casual onlooker it appears as if money for franking is being collected. If a bribe is refused our documents are not franked at all.
