Corrupt policemen

I went for the verification of my passport at Vartak Nagar Police station which is a short rickshaw ride from my house in ********** Vihar. I had no money on me when I reached there. However, the policemen there demanded hundred rupees point blank as if it were some sort of official procedure (It's not). I had to take a rickshaw back home and another one back to the police station (spending 50 rupees in all on the rickshaw rides) to get a hundred rupee note to give to these bastards. I feel guilty but I had to pay the bribe because I needed the passport desperately in order to produce it during my GRE exam which was a few weeks away.
