I was riding my bike and came from a wrong direction just to be ahead in the traffic signal. The cops normally don't stop any one doing that but that day he stopped me and asked me to pay a fine of Rs.400/- for coming in the wrong direction. I knew that this amount is more than the normal fine but didn't argue with him because this guys start using abusive words when argued. I had only 200 with me then. I asked the cop whether I can pay it later if he can give me the notice. He said for that I have to leave my vehicle with him. I was in a hurry and could not do that. I could not think of any other alternative then. I just paid up the 200 that I had with me and left. He did not give me any receipt for that and just pocketed that money. I felt bad not just because of the Rs 200 I had to shell out but more because I bribed him because I had no other alternative at that point.
