I needed a PCC - police verification certificate for my work permit and visa to go on a project to Europe. And the official there told me to come after 15 days again to police station for verification. He said he has to confirm with 12 other police stations nearby for my records, as per govt. mandatory rules. Or pay 2000 and i'll give you in 2 days... Well, it was urgent to go on the project. I had no choice... My company officials told me, pay it and get that **********PCC right away.. thats the story..
