Ever been to the DDA office at INA in Delhi. Its a maze. You cannot get your work done without exhibiting willingness to pay bribe or without involving a broker.
I was allotted a DDA flat under the Housing Scheme (essentially name selected in Lottery and you get the house at approx. 20% discount to market price). In spite of having all documents, the concerned official delayed handing the papers to me without a 10k bribe. Refusal to pay means "come tomorrow" or "get new docs attested" etc etc. to make matters worse, there are even comments like "you have got a house, what have we got!!"
Why the F*** are these asses being paid salary?? Atleast let all of us save that money from our taxes... People were elated when new Pay Comm report was adopted as all thought this would lead to less bribery.. Alas, the common continues to get screwed!!
