I have moved to Pune from Delhi 3 months back. I have paid life time registration fees in Delhi. Traffic cop in Pune stopped me and wanted the tax to be paid in Pune at RTO. He warned that my vehicle will be impounded and wanted me to go the chowki. He said the fine would amount to Rs.2200 for driving in city with DL number. I agreed to pay him Rs.1000 and left. He then advised me to visit RTO and approach an agent who can help me pay the Maharashtra tax and avoid this trouble in the future.
