I rented a beer license for my restaurant. To transfer the license from an existing restaurant to mine legally costs Rs 10000 but the excise department refused to do it until I paid a bribe of Rs 2.6 lakhs. After which to renew the license in July which generally costs Rs 35000, I had to paid Rs 30000 as bribe for the offices/inspectors to pass it. The DC asked for the amount directly saying he has to pay 10000 each to 2 of his department guys and he keeps 10000. Pathetic situation....
