I had applied for duplicate marks card of my engineering degree from Bangalore University as I had lost my original marks sheets about 7 moths back. I have been pursuing with all concerned for all this while but they were giving me several reasons which were just for the sake of it. Yesterday, one of the case worker in the university said that I should offer to pay them a bribe in order to get my work done. I told him that I was not carrying enough money, he said that I should go to the ATM at Mysore Bank and return by that time my work would be done. I had no other option but to adhere to his advice as I was behind this job for past 7 months. When I returned with the money from the ATM my job was done. I was astonished as I had made atleast a 100 calls to all concerned and visited them at least 25 times for which there was no response and the bribe worked like magic and my job was done in a jiffy. I think we should build a process around these kind of issues and employees responsible should be tracked for the turn around times for jobs to be done in the *******
