Fixing the lamination of passport

The lamination on the front page of my passport got loose and went to enquire in the passport office about how to get it fixed. The person there told it will take six months and various fines and charges to fix this. At the end , they told there was other way around and fixed the lamination of passport for Rs 1500 . Inspite of feeling bad to pay the bribe , i was amazed at the efficiency and speed of work once the bribe was paid.
