Thanks for this portal....
Initially they were not ready to open my file for police verification after many requests for months despite passport dept. has mandate of clearance within 45 days.... then I had to pay sum of 100 Rs. to get clearance ... In recent years (2010) the same police station asked my brother sum of Rs. 3000 for the passport verification...Shame on them....
