To get my passport approved from verification the officer himself asked for Rs. 600

I had a small correction to be done in the passport application when it came to be verified to the Thakurpukur Police Stn. The Officer asked to come down to the police stn when he called at my home number.
The next day when I came to ********** him, he was really shouting at me why I have done that mistake in address field and for that what problems he had to go through! etc. I did not say anything. Asked him can not we correct it now? I had all the originals. He got angry, threatened me that he will reject it. I was really sad and asked is there no way. Then he smiled and said that you are mature enough to figure that out.
I kept saying I don't understand. After sometime he said give me this amount, there are other officers and all to be paid as well. Also he has to go to Main Office which is far!
I knew it will come, so came prepared. Truly speaking I did not want to loose the next onsite assignment given by my company. I paid him *******
