After getting my brand new BSNL broadband connection, i realized that every 15 days or so, the phone would be on the blink. There was a lot of line noise also which was unrectified inspite of complaints to BSNL. Dec 2010-Jan 2011 was an especially bad period because the complaints were not acted upon & i was without phone & BB for nearly 2 months before i complained on the BSNL portal and by letter to the BSNL office & was contacted (on my mobile) by the Div Engr who promised action. This "action" got my line working for 2 days - after which, ppfffft, the line went down again Later on the chowkidar at the main gate of my colony suggested that the line will work properly if i regularly gave "chai-pani" to the BSNL lineman in this area. This proved correct. Since i started paying Rs. 300/- per month, my telephone line is functioning beautifully! No line noise, no sudden cutting off of phone connection - absolutely flawless.
