GHMC threatens for increasing the property tax

I applied for the name change after purchasing a flat. I went to GHMC with all the well-prepared documents. Next week two officers from GHMC, Lingampally office (Mr. ********** and his colleague/boss) came to my house for verification. After verification they asked me to pay them 5000 rupees and threatened that if I don't pay they will increase my annual property tax from 3500 to 10000. I had no choice, so I negotiated with them and paid 3500 bribe. I am ashamed of my act.
