In Chennai Central Excise commissionerate Asst. Commissioners are asking Rs.25000/- as bribe for registration under central excise from the small industries owners. During september one such owner was asked bribe by the Assistant commissioner of Central Excise having office at Chennai, Golden Flats TNSCB shopping complex, near Ambattur Industrial Estate, the Assistant commissiner explains that he is going get retirement in couple of years so it is his turn to save money for his old age, thus he is asking such huge money for registration.
