On dec 29 i was travling from Ludhiana to New Delhi by Delhi taxi and taxi got a flat tire and there was not much room on the left side of the road . So to change the tire we had to take out our suit cases out of the car and we changed the tire . and about one or two mins befor we could move .
A jeep type auto with some unformed hwy patrol showed up and put some orange cone to warn the on comming traffic to go right ( I was doing this standing on the road befor they come ) i told them we done and just have to load my suitcases .
But they insisted about puttin the cones and when we tried to leave they were telling taxi drive that he could not leave with giving them CHAI PANI .
as we were going to the air port to go back home to Canada we did not want be late and they moved there auto about 6 inches from our car and parked in front of us so we could not move fwd .
These people were talking in Hindi and kept telling the driver that he must give them Chai/Pani cause he had passangers from Canda or Usa .
Since we did not want to be late for our flight i had to give them 100 rupies so they moved their auto fwd so we could move and go on out way .
It was very sad and angred me very much , but i had no choice cause if we did pay we did not know what would have happened .
