Hitting a motor bike

I had hit a motor bike while driving. one of the rider died, it was totally the motorcyle rider's fault. the tests proved that the riders were drunk and the cctv footage also said that the came in my way and i tried my best to save them. but the police said that they will arrest me and take me to court, so i had to pay him 40 lack rupees which is a lot. i dont want to disclose my name beacasue i think ill be in serious problem please look into the matter thanks
