Went to sub registrar office along with all the paper work. However, the registrar openly asked for 1 lakh as bribe to register the flat as the current address in the paper work is different from the past original house document. The change in the name of the street is as some of the areas have recently become part of corporation and there has been lots of confusion with the name of the street. He basically threatened me that if I don't pay bribe then he will not register the flat as addresses don't match. I am helpless as this house is my life time saving and can hardly let it go. I am angry and frustrated with the whole process of house registration as it is just a process to fleece people.
