I am aged above 63 and handicapped,my two daughters are out of Bangalore.Wanted an encumberence certificate for one of my daughters property.Went to registrars ofice opposite Johnson Market.Went up and asked for an EC to be taken.Clark sitting there named Mr A openely asked for Rs.200.I said why,he said this has to be paid or you have to wait for 2-3 hours.I could not as I can not sit because of my back surgery done few years back.I paid to avoid sitting for a long time.
Another issue which is very upsetting.I wanted stamp papers of Rs.2 numbering 10 to write a lease aggremnt.Asked somebody there only.I was told,go down, there is shop accross the road and you will get it there.I went down, went accross the road, saw some other person buying papers. Can you believe, it was a "pan shop" owned by old muslim man.I told him to give me 10 papers, for a two rs stamp he is asking rs four each.I told him it is written Rs.2 how are you asking four? he says you have to pay four only,i paid through my nose. How can pan wala sitting in front of registrars office selling stamp papers for double the price.I feel ashamed but I could not help. This person is made sit there by office people only to make money.I n fifteen minutes he must have sold 50 no of papers. How many he must be selling in a day.making double money with the help of registrar office. Please do some thing to save people.
