It was then I was working at SEEPZ, Andheri.
I had to go to the bank to settle my credit card bills and it was the last day. I was planning to go during the lunch hours, so I decided to take my friend's bike. When I am about to come out of the main door, I was stopped by the cop and asked to show the license. I shown him my license. He then was asking for the papers. Unfourtunately, my friend did not carry the papers on that day. The cop then look at the bike asking around 3300 Rs for many non-compliance he has listed. The police man was very stern and always talking in Marathi. I was just new to mumbai and don't know even Hindi. I tried to explain him in English for a long time without much sucsess. He then came down to settle this for 1500 Rs without needing to go to court; otherwise he told that he will sease the bike.
I was then taken to the atm on his bike. The cop was staying on the road side of the atm, pretending as he is seriously writing something. I had around 7000 Rs in my account. I first draw 6500 and kept in my pocket and then draw 500 Rs and give it to the cop. He was in displeassure and scolding me in Marathi. I shown him the last receipt and told that I do not have any more money into my account to pay. He then took me back to the same place on his bike again and given my bike and the keys....

I was too scared to go to the court and pay the fine as I do not know how clean is the system. Scaring for I ********** need to bribe for paying the fine too...
